Downtime Free is the basic version of Downtime. Downtime monitors a URL you enter and connects to the site every 15 minutes or when you click 'check now' and then provides diagnostic information. It uses industry standard HTTP status codes.

When an error has been found it will warn you within the program. It will also change the colour of the tray icon and pop-up a balloon tip warning you (similar to windows updates pop-up) If your site responds OK then the tray icon will go green.

Downtime Free does not require installation and does not write to the registry, it is completely stand alone.
